The OHA and your Steering Committee are in great shape, but we’re always looking for ways to improve. We could use your help, and you don’t have to be a member of the Steering Committee. If you have an interest and/or expertise in any of the following areas, we’d love to hear from you. These are discrete, limited commitments, just right for those of you who’ve been thinking about getting more involved but don’t want to bite off more than you can chew. We know you’re busy. So let US know if you’re down to help with any of the following assignments:
Trail Work: looking for folks who can organize and/or execute repairs to our two adopted trails in the Whites.
Fallfest Planner: as the title implies; a limited but important assignment.
Cabin Caretaker: coordinate repairs to, and use of, the cabin. We have a fairly active Cabin Committee to support you. Could be a paid position if you need cash.
Cabin Maintenance: help manage spring and fall work sessions.
Investing: advise the Steering Committee on where to park our cash.
Ambassador Program: help us reimagine OH visits to the huts: can we do it better?
Hut Croo Photo Project: someone with decent digital skills needed to: (1) organize and update our trove of digitized croo photos for online access; (2) add to that collection annually; (3) create an album (albums?) of croo photos for the Cabin.
Chairperson: Stroker needs a vacation. (Dirty little secret: it ain’t that much work.)
Drop Stroker a line ([email protected]) if any of this sounds interesting. You can take on as much or as little as you like. Young OH are especially welcome. Just because you’re moving around doesn’t mean you can’t join the team.
