OLD BRIDLE PATH VOLUNTEER DAYS – 2024This year there will be TEN workdays open to OH Members on the Old Bridle Path as part of the ongoing five-year Franconia Loop Project. Where last year there was a single OH Day on the OBP, this year OH may sign up for any of the public days—all on Saturdays and from 9AM to 3PM—that are being held roughly every other week in the Summer and every third week in the Autumn.
These are scheduled as follows:
June 1, 15 & 29; July 13 & 27; August 10 & 24, September 14; and October 5 & 12.
Members who are interested can either sign up just for themselves, or they can try to assemble a group of friends and family for a given day. (Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.)
OH members who did this last year will attest to how rewarding this was, and how much transformational work they were able to accomplish in the first mile of the OBP—which will again be the locus of most of this year’s work. They will also tell you what a nice T-shirt they were given as a reward (which, with luck, will happen again this year). So, if you are thinking about volunteering for this, act quickly in assembling a group (or even just yourself) because the group size on a given day may be limited.
